Dr. C.F.E. Hoffmann is specialised in spinal and brain surgery, with a special focus on Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). DBS is among others used to treat patients with severe symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. In 2014 he performed DBS surgery live on Dutch television. Personal contact with patients is very important for him as a medical specialist. Working with people and the technical part of the job are the reasons for him to become a neurosurgeon.
